The classical guitar or concert guitar is a member of the guitar family used in classical music and other styles. A wood-string acoustic instrument with nylon strings, it is a precursor to modern acoustic and electric guitars, both of which use metal strings.
This type of guitar is also popular for beginners because its strings are easier to play than "steel strings"
