Description
With the AT4040, we've combined the wants and needs of artists and sound engineers with Audio-Technica's signature precision. The sound of the modern large membrane convinces with its soft, natural character. Suitable for any application, this externally polarized (DC bias) condenser microphone offers exceptional noise isolation, a wide dynamic range and can also handle high sound levels without any problems. The symmetrical, transformer-free and therefore low-noise circuit design of the AT4040 ensures excellent transient response and pure, unadulterated sound even at high sound levels. The microphone is completely distortion-free, which is otherwise only usual with conventional transformer-coupled outputs.
- Modern large membrane with special tension for a soft, natural sound
- Particularly flexible thanks to exceptional noise decoupling, wide dynamic range and high sound level tolerance
- A transformer-free circuit ensures virtually distortion-free playback at low frequencies and offers excellent correlation of fast transients
- The acoustic element's precision-machined baffle is made of nickel-plated brass, giving the transducer enhanced stability and optimum sensitivity
- Adherence to Audio-Technica's stringent quality and reliability standards is ensured by state-of-the-art surface mount electronics
- Delivery including spider AT8449a
